6" Aluminum Type D Cam & Groove Coupler

The 600-D-AL creates a direct transition between a female cam and groove connection and 6" female NPT pipe thread. This configuration allows compatible quick-connect transfer equipment to interface with male threaded piping or equipment.

Confirm both mating connections before installation because the cam and groove side and threaded side serve different connection functions. The adapter profile, nominal size, and male NPT thread should all match the intended system.

The coupler is manufactured from 356T6 aluminum for compatible liquid-transfer applications. Its machined construction provides the mating surfaces required for proper cam-arm engagement with a compatible adapter.

Dixon offers Type D couplers in multiple materials, so the material designation should be confirmed when selecting a replacement. The 600-D-AL specifically identifies the 6" standard aluminum configuration.

The female coupler uses cam levers to secure the mating adapter with normal hand pressure. Dixon uses durable stainless steel cam-arm pins, while a recessed area inside the coupler helps hold the standard nitrile gasket in position.

Inspect the gasket, cam arms, pins, and mating adapter before making the connection. Worn seals, damaged hardware, or contaminated mating surfaces should be corrected before the coupling is placed into service.

Dixon rates the 600-D-AL for a maximum operating pressure of 75 PSI under its stated rating conditions. Pressure recommendations are based on mating Dixon fittings at 70°F with the standard seal installed.

The coupler is designed for liquid service and must not be used for compressed air or steam. Elevated temperatures or unusual operating conditions should be reviewed with Dixon before the fitting is placed into service.
