4" Type DD Aluminum Cam & Groove Coupler x Coupler

The Dixon 400-DD-AL provides a female cam and groove coupler on both ends of the fitting. This Type DD configuration allows two compatible 4" male adapters to be connected through one fitting without requiring threaded transition connections.

Each coupler operates as a separate cam and groove connection and should be matched with the correct male adapter. Confirm the 4" nominal size and compatibility of both mating components before installing the fitting into the transfer system.

Dixon manufactures the 400-DD-AL from 356T6 aluminum for compatible cam and groove liquid-transfer applications. The aluminum construction provides a durable connection while keeping the fitting practical for systems requiring repeated connection and disconnection.

Material compatibility should be evaluated for the transferred liquid, operating temperature, surrounding environment, and connected equipment. Inspect the fitting body and both coupler ends for damage or contamination before placing the assembly into service.

Each female coupler receives a compatible male cam and groove adapter, which is secured by pressing the cam levers down using normal hand pressure. Raising the cam arms releases the adapter when the connection is ready to be separated.

Nitrile rubber seals are standard and provide the sealing interfaces against the inserted male adapters. Inspect both seals, cam arms, pins, and adapter surfaces regularly so damaged or excessively worn components can be replaced before use.

Dixon rates the 400-DD-AL to a maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI under its stated operating conditions. Pressure recommendations are based on mating Dixon fittings at an ambient temperature of 70°F with the standard seal installed.

The fitting is designed for liquid service, with Dixon recommending consultation for specific media or unusual operating conditions. Cam and groove couplings must not be used for compressed air or steam service.
