4" Type DD Stainless Steel Cam & Groove Coupler x Coupler

The Dixon 400-DD-SS provides a female cam and groove coupler on both ends of the fitting. This Type DD arrangement allows two compatible 4" male adapters to be connected through one central coupler assembly without adding threaded transitions.

Each side operates as an independent cam and groove connection and should be matched with the proper male adapter. Confirm the 4" nominal size and compatibility of both mating components before installing the fitting into the transfer system.

Dixon manufactures the 400-DD-SS from 316 stainless steel for use in compatible liquid-transfer applications. The stainless construction provides a durable connection body for systems where material selection and corrosion resistance are important considerations.

Dixon identifies this Type DD fitting as a welded fabrication, creating the dual-coupler configuration as one assembly. Material compatibility should still be confirmed for the transferred liquid, operating environment, temperature, and connected equipment.

Each female coupler receives a compatible male cam and groove adapter, with the cam arms pressed down using normal hand pressure to complete the connection. Lifting the cam arms releases the adapter when the assembly is ready to be disconnected.

Nitrile rubber seals are standard on the 400-DD-SS and provide the sealing interface against the inserted adapters. Inspect both seals, cam arms, pins, and mating adapter surfaces before placing the completed assembly into service.

Dixon rates the 400-DD-SS to a maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI when used under its stated conditions. Pressure recommendations are based on mating Dixon fittings at an ambient temperature of 70°F with standard seals installed.

The fitting is designed for use with liquids, with Dixon recommending consultation for specific media or unusual operating conditions. Cam and groove couplings must not be used for compressed air or steam service.
