Construction Details
The Type F fitting features an aluminum body with a male cam & groove adapter on one end and male NPT threads on the opposite end.
The male camlock adapter inserts into a compatible female cam & groove coupler. The cam arms located on the mating female coupler close around the adapter to secure the quick-connect connection.
The male NPT end threads into compatible female NPT pipe fittings, valves, pumps, tanks, manifolds, or other threaded equipment.

The male cam & groove end inserts into a compatible female camlock coupler of the appropriate nominal size. The mating coupler's cam arms secure the adapter in position.
Male NPT
The opposite end provides male National Pipe Taper threads for installation into a compatible female NPT connection.
How a Type F Camlock Works
Install the male NPT end into the appropriate female threaded connection using a suitable pipe-thread sealant when required for the application.
To make the camlock connection, insert the Type F male adapter into a compatible female cam & groove coupler. Close both cam arms on the mating female coupler using normal hand pressure to secure the connection.
For disconnection, safely depressurize the system first, open the cam arms on the mating female coupler, and remove the Type F adapter.
