Construction Details
The Type B fitting features an aluminum body with a female cam & groove coupler on one end and male NPT threads on the opposite end.
The female camlock end accepts a compatible male cam & groove adapter. The cam arms on the coupler close around the mating adapter to secure the connection and compress the internal gasket against the adapter.
The male NPT end threads into a compatible female NPT pipe fitting, valve, pump, tank connection, manifold, or other threaded component.

The female cam & groove end accepts a compatible male camlock adapter of the appropriate nominal size. Closing the cam arms secures the mating adapter inside the coupler.
Male NPT
The opposite end provides male National Pipe Taper threads for installation into a compatible female NPT connection.
How a Type B Camlock Works
Install the male NPT end into the appropriate female threaded connection using a suitable pipe-thread sealant when required for the application.
To make the camlock connection, open the cam arms and insert a compatible male cam & groove adapter into the female coupler. Close both cam arms using normal hand pressure to pull the mating adapter into the coupler and create the connection.
For disconnection, safely depressurize the system first, raise the cam arms, and remove the male adapter from the female coupler.
