Grooved 90 Degree Drain Elbow
ARGCO's Model 204 Grooved Drain Elbow is a grooved-end ductile iron cast elbow with an integral 1" NPT drain, designed to provide a reliable directional change in piping systems while allowing convenient drainage access. This fitting is especially suited for fire protection standpipes, though it can also be used in other rigid grooved piping applications.
Designed for carbon steel piping systems (Schedule 10 and Schedule 40), Model 204 supports working pressures up to 300 psi. Its rigid joint design restricts axial and angular movement, making it ideal for applications where system stability and controlled drainage are important.

Construction Details
Housing sections are manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, providing durability and structural integrity for demanding piping applications. The standard coating is orange enamel, with optional hot dipped galvanizing available for improved corrosion resistance.
The fitting incorporates an integral 1" BSPT or NPT drain connection and is designed for use with standard weight ANSI steel pipe that is roll or cut grooved in accordance with ARGCO specifications.
Important Notes
Working pressure ratings are based on standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe grooved in accordance with ARGCO specifications. These fittings are considered rigid connections and will not accommodate expansion or contraction of the piping system. When assembling ARGCO couplings onto end caps, ensure the end cap is fully seated against the gasket end stop.
