Galvanized Grooved Drain Elbow
ARGCO’s Model 204 grooved drain elbow is a ductile iron fitting designed to join carbon steel pipe while providing an integral 1” NPT drain connection. Engineered for rigid grooved piping systems, it restricts axial and angular movement while maintaining system integrity.
Primarily used in fire protection standpipe systems, this elbow is compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe and is rated for working pressures up to 300 psi (20 bar). The housing is finished with a hot dipped galvanized coating for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Typical Applications

Construction Details
The elbow housing is manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, providing strength and durability in demanding piping systems.
Designed for use with standard roll or cut grooved carbon steel pipe, ensuring compatibility with common grooved piping systems.
Standard finish is hot dipped galvanized to provide enhanced corrosion resistance in wet or exposed environments.
Important Notes
Working pressure ratings are based on total internal and external loads using standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe grooved in accordance with ARGCO specifications.
This fitting provides a rigid connection and does not accommodate expansion or contraction of the piping system.
Allowable pipe separation dimensions are for layout purposes only.
Ensure proper seating when assembling components, especially when used with end caps, to maintain system integrity.
