Description
Galvanized Grooved 45° Elbow
ARGCO’s Model 208 galvanized grooved 45° elbow is designed to join carbon steel pipe while providing a rigid directional change in grooved piping systems. It is intended to restrict axial or angular movement and is suitable for standard radius installations requiring a 45-degree offset.
Available in nominal sizes from 1" through 10", the Model 208 is for use with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe and is rated for working pressures up to 300 psi (20 bar).
Key Features
- Model 208 standard radius 45° grooved elbow
- Provides a rigid pipe joint designed to restrict axial or angular movement
- Designed to join carbon steel pipe in grooved piping systems
- Compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe
- Available in nominal sizes 1" through 10"
- Maximum working pressure up to 300 psi / 20 bar
- Ductile iron housing conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12
- Standard hot dipped galvanized coating
- UL, ULC, and FM listed/approved
Typical Applications
Ideal for grooved piping systems where a 45-degree directional change is required while maintaining a rigid connection. Commonly used in mechanical, fire protection, and general carbon steel piping layouts using standard radius grooved fittings.
Construction Details
Housing sections are manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12 for strength and durability.
Standard housing coating is hot dipped galvanized for corrosion resistance in typical piping environments.
Important Notes
Working pressure and end load values are based on standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe with standard roll or cut grooves in accordance with ARGCO specifications.
ARGCO grooved fittings used in rigid connections will not accommodate expansion or contraction of the piping system.
All products should be installed in accordance with current ARGCO installation and assembly instructions.
