Description

Grooved 45 Degree Elbow

ARGCO Grooved Standard Radius Elbows (Models 201, 208, 206, 207) are ductile iron fittings designed to provide reliable directional changes in grooved piping systems. These elbows create rigid joints that restrict axial and angular movement, ensuring system stability in demanding applications.

Designed for use with carbon steel piping systems (Schedule 10 and Schedule 40), these fittings support working pressures up to 300 psi and are suitable for a wide range of mechanical and fire protection piping installations.

Key Features

  • Available in 90°, 45°, 22.5°, and 11.25° configurations
  • Nominal sizes from 1" through 12"
  • Maximum working pressure up to 300 psi (20 bar)
  • Rigid joint design restricts axial and angular movement
  • Compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe
  • Ductile iron construction per ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12
  • Standard orange enamel coating
  • Optional hot dipped galvanized finish available
  • UL, ULC, and FM listed/approved

Typical Applications

Used in grooved piping systems to provide directional changes while maintaining rigid connections. Ideal for fire protection systems, mechanical piping, and industrial applications where movement restriction and system integrity are critical.

Construction Details

Housing sections are manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, providing strength and durability for demanding piping systems.

The standard finish is orange enamel, with optional hot dipped galvanizing available for enhanced corrosion resistance. Designed for use with standard grooved ANSI steel pipe.

Important Notes

Working pressure ratings are based on standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe grooved in accordance with ARGCO specifications. These fittings are rigid and will not accommodate expansion or contraction. Ensure proper seating of components during installation for optimal performance.
