Construction Details

The male cam & groove end inserts into a compatible female camlock coupler of the appropriate nominal size. The cam arms on the mating female coupler secure the adapter in position.
Female NPT
The opposite end provides female National Pipe Taper threads for connection to compatible male NPT pipe, nipples, valves, pumps, tanks, manifolds, and other threaded components.
How a Type A Camlock Works
Install the female NPT end onto the appropriate male threaded connection using a thread-sealing method suitable for stainless steel threaded fittings and the intended application.
To make the camlock connection, insert the Type A male adapter into a compatible female cam & groove coupler. Close the cam arms on the mating female coupler using normal hand pressure to secure the connection.
For disconnection, safely depressurize and drain the system as appropriate before opening the cam arms on the mating female coupler and removing the Type A adapter.
