Shurjoint Model 79 Wildcat Coupling Replacement Gaskets - Grade E EPDM
Shurjoint Model 79 Wildcat Replacement Gaskets are engineered for use with Model 79 plain-end mechanical couplings and provide a reliable sealing solution for water service applications. Manufactured from Grade E EPDM rubber, these replacement gaskets restore sealing performance while allowing existing coupling housings and hardware to remain in service.
The Model 79 Wildcat coupling utilizes a pressure-responsive C-shaped gasket that creates a dependable leak-tight seal on plain-end carbon steel pipe. These replacement gaskets are commonly used during routine maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades in mining, industrial processing, water transfer, construction, and general piping applications.

Grade E EPDM gaskets are recommended for water-based services and are not suitable for petroleum oils, mineral oils, solvents, or other hydrocarbon-based media. For oil service applications, a Grade T Nitrile gasket should be selected.
