Choose a stable mounting point and allow the laser to self-level within its ±4 degree range. Use the plumb reference and micro control for final alignment.
The standard working range is 125 ft; the 165 ft range requires a detector. Use an M12 pack and the correct 1/4-20 or 5/8-11 mounting connection.
Installation & Care
Turn off the laser before moving or cleaning it and follow the manual’s transport procedure. Keep the optical windows clean without abrasive materials.
Check alignment accuracy before critical layout and after an impact. Never stare into the beam or direct it at another person’s eyes.

Important Product Questions
What is the difference between the two range figures?
Milwaukee lists a 125 foot working range and a 165 foot range with a detector. Do not assume the detector is included with this model.
What are the plumb points used for?
The two points transfer reference positions between floor and ceiling. The bracket pivots on the plumb point for fine alignment.
What accuracy and leveling range are specified?
The manufacturer lists ±1/8 inch at 33 feet and self-leveling within ±4 degrees of tilt. Verify accuracy and setup before relying on layout marks.
