Can I strip a different cable of the same diameter?
Diameter alone does not establish suitability. Match the cable construction, layer and material to the tool’s stated application.
Does the preset prepare every connector?
It makes 1/4-inch by 1/4-inch preparation. Verify that exact preparation with the connector manufacturer before using it.
What if the conductor or fiber is nicked?
Stop and reprepare an undamaged section according to the cable and termination instructions. Do not hide or reuse a damaged portion inside a connector.
