Choose the Correct Fit
Inspect the drilling route for electrical wiring, pipe and structural restrictions before placing the bit inside a wall.
Use a suitable placement guide to control the cutter’s position; avoid forcing an unknown path through a concealed cavity.
Installation & Care
Disconnect the drill before attaching wire to a pull-through hole. Pull slowly and stop if the cable snags.
Remove debris after use and inspect the shaft for kinks or damage. Store it without forcing sharp bends.

Important Product Questions
Is a flexible shaft enough to locate the hole?
No. Confirm the route before drilling. Milwaukee identifies placement guide 48-08-0275 for positioning these cable bits inside walls.
Where can I attach the wire?
There are pull-through holes at both ends. Disconnect the drill before attaching the wire and protect its jacket while pulling.
Can I keep using a sharply kinked shaft?
Stop and inspect it. A damaged shaft can be difficult to control; replace it when its condition no longer permits safe use.
