Blue Monster Torch-Guard is constructed from high-strength, needle-punched carbon fiber designed to withstand heat exposure during soldering and brazing work.

Unlike heat shields that can peel, flake, or break down after repeated exposure, Torch-Guard is designed to remain flexible and durable. Its pliable construction allows the shield to conform around walls, studs, floors, equipment, and other surfaces close to the work area.

The shield also includes two grommets that can be used for hanging or positioning the blanket while working in tight or vertical spaces.

Blue Monster Torch-Guard is designed to create a protective barrier between a torch operation and nearby surfaces that could otherwise be exposed to flame, sparks, or molten material.

Its high-temperature carbon fiber construction makes it particularly useful where copper piping, fittings, valves, or other components must be soldered or brazed close to combustible or finished surfaces.

Torch-Guard is intended as an additional protective measure and does not replace proper torch technique, fire prevention procedures, personal protective equipment, or jobsite safety requirements.

• Inspect the Torch-Guard shield before each use.
• Position the shield between the torch operation and the surface being protected.
• Use the integrated grommets when hanging or securing the shield is helpful.
• Make sure the shield covers the entire area that could be exposed to flame, sparks, or molten splash.
• Keep the shield positioned throughout the soldering or brazing operation.
• Do not exceed the manufacturer's published heat-resistance limits.
• Maintain appropriate clearance from other combustible materials.
• Keep an appropriate fire extinguisher or other required fire-control equipment nearby.
• Inspect the surrounding area after completing hot work.
• Allow the shield to cool before handling or storing.
• Follow applicable hot-work, fire-prevention, and jobsite safety requirements.

Torch-Guard is rated for heat resistance up to, but not exceeding, 2,500°F. Actual exposure depends on torch type, flame position, distance, duration, and the conditions of the work area.

The shield should be positioned so that it fully protects the surrounding surface from direct flame, sparks, and molten splash. Do not assume that a heat shield makes an otherwise unsafe hot-work setup acceptable.
