6" Type F Cam & Groove Adapter

The 600-F-AL combines a male cam and groove adapter with a male NPT connection in one fitting. This configuration provides a direct transition between compatible quick-connect equipment and female pipe-threaded components.

The adapter side should be matched to the correct 6" cam and groove coupler, while the threaded side requires a compatible female NPT connection. Verify both connection types before installation to avoid mismatched components.

Dixon manufactures the 600-F-AL from 356T6 aluminum, providing a corrosion-resistant fitting for compatible transfer applications. The aluminum construction also distinguishes this model from brass, stainless-steel, and other material options within the Type F family.

Material selection should be based on the transferred liquid, operating environment, and mating components. Confirm chemical compatibility before placing the fitting into service, particularly when handling aggressive or unusual media.

To make the cam and groove connection, the adapter is inserted into a compatible coupler and the coupler's cam levers are pressed downward by hand. The mating coupler gasket provides the sealing interface around the adapter.

For disconnection, the cam arms are raised before the adapter is removed from the coupler. Inspect the adapter surface, mating gasket, and cam arms regularly so damaged components do not compromise the connection.

Dixon lists a maximum operating pressure of 75 PSI for the 600-F-AL, with the pressure rating based on the seal of the mating component. Dixon's recommendations are based on mating Dixon fittings at 70°F with a standard seal installed.

This fitting is designed for compatible liquid service and must not be used for compressed air or steam. Elevated temperatures and unusual operating conditions should be reviewed with Dixon before the fitting is placed into service.
