Construction Details
The Type D fitting features a durable stainless steel body with a female cam & groove coupler on one end and female NPT threads on the opposite end.

How a Type D Camlock Works

To make the camlock connection, open both cam arms and insert a compatible male cam & groove adapter into the Type D female coupler. Close both cam arms using normal hand pressure to secure the connection.
For disconnection, safely depressurize and drain the system as appropriate before opening the cam arms and removing the mating male adapter.
