Blue Monster Power-Deuce uses rust-proof stainless steel bristles designed for plumbing and HVAC tube and fitting preparation.

The brush is housed inside a heavy-duty ABS body that is impact resistant and helps protect the bristles from damage. Protecting the brush fill helps the bristles retain their shape and can extend the useful life of the tool.

Its multi-function construction allows the fitting brush to be pushed through the housing to clean the inside diameter of a copper fitting. The fitting brush can then be fully retracted into the housing so the exterior tube-cleaning section can clean the outside diameter of the corresponding copper tube.

The Power-Deuce combines a fitting brush and tube-cleaning brush inside a single housing. For fitting preparation, the fitting brush is pushed through the housing and inserted into the copper fitting to clean its inside diameter.

For tubing preparation, the fitting brush is fully retracted into the housing. The tube-cleaning brush then contacts and cleans the outside diameter of the corresponding copper tubing.

This two-in-one arrangement allows both mating copper surfaces to be prepared without changing to a separate hand brush.

The Power-Deuce is designed as a self-cleaning brush. As the brush is switched from fitting I.D. cleaning to tube O.D. cleaning, the design helps remove copper residue and buildup from the brush.

Reducing accumulated residue helps maintain effective brushing action during repeated preparation work.

The ABS housing also protects the bristles when they are retracted, helping maintain brush shape and prolong useful brush life.

Blue Monster specifies that the Power-Deuce should always be operated in a clockwise direction at a low-speed setting when used as a power brushing tool.

• Select the Power-Deuce size that matches the fitting and tubing being prepared.
• Inspect the brush, housing, and power-tool connection before use.
• Push the brush through the housing when cleaning the fitting I.D.
• Insert the brush into the copper fitting and rotate clockwise.
• Retract the fitting brush completely into the housing for tube O.D. cleaning.
• Position the tube-cleaning brush around the copper tubing.
• Operate clockwise at low speed when using a power drill.
• Use controlled pressure rather than forcing the brush.
• Remove loose residue after cleaning.
• Inspect the prepared copper surfaces before assembly.
• Complete any additional preparation required by the solder, flux, fitting, tubing, or joining-system manufacturer.
• Use appropriate eye protection and other required personal protective equipment.
