Choose the Correct Fit

Locate the required diameter on the bit before drilling. Check that the depth of that step suits the material thickness.

Secure the work so it cannot spin. Use a suitable speed and lubricant for the material, following the tool’s instructions.

Installation & Care

Seat the 1/4 in hex shank securely in a compatible tool. Keep the bit square and stop before the next step enlarges the hole.

Stop the tool before clearing chips. Let the bit cool, then check the cutting edges and shank before putting it away.

Important Product Questions

Can I use it in an impact driver?

Yes. This SHOCKWAVE bit is optimized for impact drivers and can also be used in drill/drivers. It has a 1/4 in hex shank.

Does it cut every size between 4 and 30 mm?

Use only the marked steps on the bit. The range describes its endpoints; it does not provide a continuous diameter adjustment.

How thick can the workpiece be?

Check the depth of the selected step against the material thickness. If the work is thicker than that step, the next diameter can enter before a straight hole is completed.
