Choose the Correct Fit

Use the light maker’s exact cutout diameter. Nominal fixture sizes can require different opening sizes.

Inspect above the ceiling for wiring, plumbing and framing. Secure loose panels and use the appropriate arbor and pilot.

Installation & Care

Follow the drill and saw instructions for speed, dust control and overhead work. Keep the rim square to the surface.

Disconnect power before removing a plug. Let the rim cool and inspect the grit and welded body before reuse.

Important Product Questions

Will it fit every light with the same nominal size?

No. This saw cuts a 6-7/8 in opening. Compare that measurement with the fixture’s installation template rather than the nominal light diameter.

Can it cut stucco containing mesh?

Yes. Stucco with mesh is a listed application, along with drywall, plaster, acoustical tile and wood. Check the complete ceiling buildup before selecting the saw.

What should I check before drilling overhead?

Locate concealed wiring, pipe and framing, confirm the required cutout and follow the tool’s instructions for overhead work, dust control and eye protection.
