Choose the Correct Fit
Match the 2-1/2 in diameter and 3/16 in cutting depth to the job. This cutter is designed for handheld drills in thin sheet metals, including stainless steel, brass and aluminum.
Use a compatible arbor, such as quick-change adapter 49-57-0035. Its 3/8 in shank belongs to the adapter; it is not an integral shank on this cutter.
Installation & Care
Use cutting fluid as recommended to keep the cutting surface cool and lubricated. Secure the work and maintain alignment rather than forcing the teeth.
Stop the tool before clearing chips or a cut plug. Let the cutter cool, inspect the carbide tips for damage, and clean and dry it before storage.

Important Product Questions
Does this cutter have a built-in 3/8 in shank?
No. This quick-change cutter uses a compatible adapter. Milwaukee lists adapter 49-57-0035 with a 3/8 in shank; do not treat that as the cutter shank.
What thickness can it cut?
The cutting depth is 3/16 in. Choose a steel-plate cutter instead if the work exceeds the sheet-metal cutter capacity.
Should I use cutting fluid?
Yes. Milwaukee recommends cutting fluid for this cutter family to help keep the cutting surface cool and lubricated. Follow the tool and fluid instructions.
