Match the Spline shank to the hammer and confirm its capacity for a 1-3/4 in core bit. Check the required sleeve or service clearance.

Allow for the 11-3/8 in overall length at the drilling position. Plan core removal for work deeper than the 3 in cutting depth.

No. This bit is 11-3/8 in long overall but has a 3 in drilling depth. The inside core must be removed before drilling farther.

Can I keep drilling without clearing the center core?

No. This bit cuts the perimeter kerf. Stop and remove the inside core as directed before attempting deeper drilling.

Which accessories position the bit and release the pilot?

Use centering bit 48-20-5495 for starting the hole and drift key 48-20-5497 to remove it. Confirm accessory availability when ordering.
