Description

Midland Lug-Style Butterfly Valve Lever Handle Aluminum Bronze Disc EPDM Seat

Midland lug-style butterfly valves are engineered for dependable flow control in commercial, industrial, and municipal piping systems. Featuring a durable ductile iron body, corrosion-resistant aluminum bronze disc, and resilient EPDM seat, these valves deliver reliable shutoff and long service life.

This series includes lever-operated models from 2" through 8". Lug-style construction allows installation at the end of a pipeline or in dead-end service when used within the manufacturer's pressure ratings.

Key Features

  • Lug-style butterfly valve design
  • Lever handle operation (2"–8")
  • Ductile iron body with epoxy coating
  • Corrosion-resistant aluminum bronze disc
  • Resilient EPDM seat for dependable sealing
  • Bubble-tight bidirectional shutoff
  • Suitable for ANSI Class 125/150 flanges
  • Available in 2", 2-1/2", 3", 4", 6", and 8" sizes

Construction Details

The rugged ductile iron body is epoxy coated for enhanced corrosion resistance, while the aluminum bronze disc provides excellent durability and resistance to wear in demanding applications.

An EPDM seat provides resilient sealing with low operating torque, and the lever handle includes a multi-position locking mechanism for precise flow regulation.

Lug-style mounting allows the valve to be removed from one side of the piping system without disturbing the opposite flange connection.

Important Notes

EPDM seats are well suited for water, HVAC, and many general-purpose industrial services but are not recommended for petroleum oils or hydrocarbon-based fluids.

Verify material compatibility, pressure ratings, and installation requirements before selecting a valve for your application.
