Description
CarbonPress® Carbon Steel Press Couplings with Stop
CarbonPress® Carbon Steel Press Couplings with Stop provide a secure straight connection between two sections of compatible carbon steel pipe. The internal stop helps position each pipe end at the proper insertion depth before pressing, supporting consistent installation and alignment.
CarbonPress® is a 1/2" through 2" carbon steel press fitting system suitable for use with black iron, epoxy-coated, and galvanized Schedule 10 through Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe. When pressed, an internal grab ring grips the outside diameter of the pipe while an elastomeric sealing element creates a leak-tight seal.
CarbonPress® fittings can be installed using Milwaukee or RIDGID press tools with the associated jaws or rings designed for carbon steel applications.

CarbonPress® Connection Technology
When the coupling is pressed, a grab ring deforms and its sharp edges grip the outside diameter of the pipe, securing the fitting axially and helping prevent movement.
At the same time, an elastomeric sealing element impinges on the pipe to create a leak-tight connection.
Coupling with Stop Design
The coupling is designed to join two sections of equal-size carbon steel pipe in a straight run. An internal stop provides a positive insertion point for each pipe end, helping establish proper positioning before the connections are pressed.
Leak Before Press Technology
CarbonPress® fittings incorporate Leak Before Press (LBP) Technology, helping identify connections that have not been properly pressed during system testing.
EPDM & HNBR Seal Options
- EPDM: -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 148°C)
- HNBR: -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C)
