4" x 3" Stainless Steel Type DA Camlock Reducer Coupler Adapter

The G4030-DA-SS combines a 4" female cam and groove coupler with a reduced 3" male adapter to create a direct transition between two different nominal camlock sizes. This configuration allows larger 4" transfer equipment to connect with compatible 3" cam and groove components without adding a separate threaded reducer.

Confirm the size and gender of both mating components before installation because the coupler and adapter ends serve different connection functions. The 4" female coupler should match the incoming male adapter, while the 3" male adapter should match the outgoing female coupler.

The fitting is manufactured from 316 investment-cast stainless steel for compatible liquid-transfer applications where stainless construction is required. The one-piece reducing configuration provides both cam and groove connection sizes within a single fitting body.

Inspect the stainless body, adapter surface, coupler cavity, cam arms, and pivot hardware before installation. Damage, excessive wear, contamination, or deformation should be addressed before the fitting is connected to mating equipment.

A nitrile rubber gasket is supplied standard in the 4" female coupler and provides the sealing surface against the mating male cam and groove adapter. The gasket should seat evenly within the coupler recess so the connection can close properly when both cam arms are engaged.

Inspect the gasket before each installation for cuts, flattening, distortion, contamination, or deterioration that could interfere with sealing. Confirm nitrile compatibility with the transferred media and operating conditions before placing the assembly into service.

Type DA reducing couplings allow two different nominal cam and groove sizes to be joined while maintaining camlock-style connections on both ends. This can simplify a transfer assembly where a 4" line must transition directly to compatible 3" equipment.
