4" Type C Aluminum Cam & Groove Female Coupler x 3" Hose Shank

The Dixon 4030-C-AL combines a 4" female cam and groove coupler with a reduced 3" hose shank. This configuration provides a direct transition between larger 4" camlock equipment and compatible 3" hose without requiring an additional reducing fitting.

Confirm both nominal connection sizes before installation because the coupler and hose shank serve different portions of the assembly. The 4" female coupler should match the mating male adapter, while the 3" shank should match the selected hose and attachment method.

The 4030-C-AL is manufactured from 356T6 aluminum for compatible liquid-transfer applications requiring a lightweight metallic cam and groove connection. Precision-machined connection surfaces help provide consistent engagement with properly matched camlock components.

Inspect the aluminum housing, cam arms, pins, coupler cavity, and hose shank before installation. Deformation, excessive wear, contamination, or damaged connection surfaces should be addressed before the coupling is assembled into the transfer system.

A nitrile rubber gasket is supplied standard in the 4" female coupler and provides the sealing interface against the mating male adapter. The gasket recess helps retain the seal in the proper position while the cam levers secure the connected components.

Inspect the gasket before each installation for cuts, flattening, contamination, or deterioration that could interfere with sealing. Confirm nitrile compatibility with the transferred liquid and verify that both cam arms fully engage before placing the assembly into service.

The reduced 3" hose connection uses a long shank design intended to provide sufficient surface area for proper hose attachment and banding. Correct hose and coupling selection helps create a properly matched transfer assembly for the intended liquid application.
