4" 6500D Self-Locking Drop Elbow

The 6500-Series is designed around a self-locking drop elbow arrangement for petroleum delivery applications. The locking system helps the operator establish positive engagement with the compatible underground adapter during unloading.

The connection should be fully seated and locked before product transfer begins. Inspect the mating adapter and elbow engagement surfaces so wear, contamination, or damage does not interfere with secure attachment.

The 6500D is specifically configured with a 4" coupler inlet, distinguishing it from other 6500-Series versions supplied with adapter inlets, 3" couplers, or without an inlet connection. This configuration provides a ready-made connection for compatible 4" delivery equipment.

Confirm the required inlet style before ordering because several 6500-Series elbows share the same basic body dimensions. Selecting by series alone can result in the wrong inlet arrangement for the existing hose assembly.

Dixon lists the 6500D with aluminum construction and a standard-height configuration measuring 17-3/4" overall. The modular metal body provides the structural foundation for the locking mechanism, inlet connection, and drop-elbow flow path.

The published 10-7/8" ground clearance should be reviewed against the vehicle, underground fill location, and operating environment. Adequate clearance helps position the elbow without unnecessary contact with the surrounding surface.
