Description

304 Stainless Steel Butt Weld 45° Elbow - Sch 40

These Schedule 40S butt weld 45° elbows are manufactured from ASTM A/SA403 WP304/L stainless steel for dependable corrosion resistance, strength, and weldability in commercial and industrial piping systems.

Designed to change piping direction by 45 degrees, each fitting is manufactured to ASME B16.9 dimensional requirements and is available in nominal pipe sizes from 3/4 inch through 12 inches.

Key Features

  • 45° butt weld elbow configuration
  • Schedule 40S wall thickness
  • ASTM A/SA403 WP304/L stainless steel construction
  • Manufactured to ASME B16.9 dimensional standards
  • Dual-grade 304/L material provides corrosion resistance and weldability
  • Butt weld ends create strong, permanent piping connections
  • Available in sizes from 3/4 inch through 12 inches
  • Wall thicknesses range from 0.113 inch through 0.375 inch

Construction Details

The dual-certified WP304/L stainless steel construction combines the corrosion resistance of Type 304 stainless steel with the lower carbon content of Type 304L for improved weldability.

The formed 45° elbow profile provides a controlled directional transition while maintaining the piping system's nominal outside diameter.

Schedule 40S dimensions provide a heavier wall than Schedule 10S fittings for applications requiring increased mechanical strength.

Important Notes

Confirm the required nominal pipe size, Schedule 40S wall thickness, and stainless steel material grade before installation.

Butt weld fittings require qualified welding procedures and proper joint preparation.

Pressure and temperature ratings depend on the complete piping system design, applicable code, joining method, and operating conditions.
