The ID passage size and male NPT thread size describe two different parts of the coupler. They do not need to be the same size.

The ID passage determines the internal airflow capacity and Industrial coupling profile. The male NPT size determines the threaded connection used to install the coupler into a female-threaded hose fitting, manifold, regulator, piping outlet, air drop, or other compressed-air component.

• ISI 06: 6 mm / nominal 1/4" ID passage

• Each passage family is available with specific male NPT connection sizes.
• Always verify both passage size and male thread size before ordering.

Prevost prevoS1 couplers are designed to control the release of compressed air before the plug separates from the coupling. With one press of the button, the downstream air line is first decompressed and the connection is then released.

This controlled sequence helps reduce the risk of sudden hose movement associated with disconnecting a conventional compressed-air coupling while pressure remains trapped downstream.

These couplers use the Industrial / ISO 6150 B connection profile. Plug compatibility is determined by the coupling profile and passage family rather than by the male NPT connection on the back of the coupler.

• ISI 06 corresponds to the 1/4" / 6 mm Industrial coupling family.
• ISI 08 corresponds to the 3/8" / 8 mm Industrial coupling family.
• ISI 11EB corresponds to the 1/2" / 11 mm Industrial coupling family.
• Use a compatible plug from the corresponding Industrial profile family.
• Do not assume couplers are interchangeable simply because their NPT thread sizes match.

• Step 1: Identify the required Industrial passage/profile family: ISI 06, ISI 08, or ISI 11EB.
• Step 2: Confirm that the selected passage provides sufficient airflow for the pneumatic tool or equipment.
• Step 3: Select the male NPT connection required by the female-threaded hose fitting, manifold, regulator, piping outlet, or equipment connection.
• Step 4: Confirm that the mating plug matches the selected Industrial coupling family.
• Step 5: Verify pressure, temperature, airflow, and installation requirements for the complete compressed-air system.

• Depressurize the compressed-air system before installing, removing, or servicing threaded components.
• Verify the required Industrial profile and ID passage size before connecting equipment.
• Confirm that the selected male NPT connection matches the female-threaded system connection.
• Use thread-sealing materials and installation practices suitable for compressed-air service.
• Do not select a coupler based only on male NPT thread size.
• Verify that the selected ID passage provides adequate airflow for the connected pneumatic equipment.
• Do not exceed the ratings of the coupling, hose, piping, fittings, or connected equipment.
• Inspect couplers and plugs periodically for wear, damage, contamination, or leakage.
• Replace damaged or excessively worn components.
• Compressed-air components should be installed and serviced by qualified personnel.
