NPT and BSPP threads are different connection standards and should not be treated as interchangeable. Select the variant that matches the threaded component or equipment where the coupler will be installed.

The PrevoS1 safety system is designed to provide a controlled method of disconnecting compressed-air equipment. Rather than immediately releasing a pressurized mating plug, the coupling first decompresses the downstream air line.

After downstream pressure has been relieved, the mating plug can be released from the coupler. This controlled sequence helps reduce sudden hose movement associated with conventional pressurized disconnection.

The female-thread connection allows the coupler to install directly onto a compatible male-threaded compressed-air component.

Depending on the selected variant, the coupler can be installed on compatible NPT or BSPP male threads used on pneumatic equipment, manifolds, distribution components, hose assemblies, and compressed-air accessories.

When selecting a female-thread quick coupler, both the thread size and thread standard must match the component being connected.

For example, this listing includes both a 1/4" FNPT and a 1/4" FBSPP option. Although both have a nominal 1/4" size, they use different thread standards.
