The IRC 06 Hose Stem Swivel Coupler family uses the 1/4" Industrial profile with a 1/4" ID passage. These variants provide a swiveling hose connection for 1/4" or 3/8" ID compressed-air hose.

The larger IRC 08 Hose Stem Swivel Coupler family uses the 3/8" Industrial profile with a 3/8" ID passage. Three hose sizes are available for matching the coupler to the pneumatic hose assembly.

The Prevost Hose Stem Swivel Regular Quick Coupler combines a direct hose connection with a swivel-style coupler configuration. This makes it particularly useful for flexible compressed-air hose assemblies where movement occurs near the coupling point.

The Industrial quick-connect profile and the hose ID are separate specifications. Both must be selected correctly for the application.

• The Industrial profile determines which quick-connect plug mates with the coupler.
• The hose ID determines which compressed-air hose fits the swivel hose stem.
• IRC 061810FA fits 3/8" ID hose while using the 1/4" Industrial profile.
• IRC 081810FA also fits 3/8" ID hose but uses the larger 3/8" Industrial profile.
• Hose size alone does not determine quick-connect compatibility.
• Verify both profile and hose ID before ordering.

Quick-connect compatibility is determined by the mating plug and coupler profile. The hose ID determines the hose-side connection and should not be used to identify the quick-connect profile.

• Step 1: Identify the Industrial profile required by the mating plug.
• Step 2: Select IRC 06 for the 1/4" Industrial profile or IRC 08 for the 3/8" Industrial profile.
• Step 3: Verify the inside diameter of the compressed-air hose.
• Step 4: Select the swivel hose stem that matches the hose ID.
• Step 5: Verify that the selected ID passage meets the airflow requirements of the application.
• Step 6: Confirm plug and coupler profile compatibility.
• Step 7: Secure the hose using a suitable hose-clamping or retention method.

• Depressurize the compressed-air system before installing, removing, or servicing the coupler.
• Confirm that the mating plug uses the correct Industrial quick-connect profile.
• Verify the compressed-air hose inside diameter before installation.
• Fully seat the hose onto the hose stem.
• Use a suitable hose clamp, ferrule, or approved retention method.
• Allow sufficient clearance for the swivel connection to move as intended.
• Do not use damaged, cracked, hardened, or incorrectly sized hose.
• Do not force an incompatible plug into the coupler.
• Inspect the hose, hose retention, swivel connection, coupler, and mating plug periodically.
• Replace damaged or excessively worn components.
• Do not exceed the operating limits of the complete compressed-air hose assembly.
