Description
Grooved Reducing Tee 303
ARGCO’s Model 303 Grooved Reducing Tee is a rigid grooved fitting designed to connect three sections of pipe while transitioning to a smaller branch size. This fitting provides a compact and efficient solution for distributing flow in piping systems where size reduction is required.
Designed for carbon steel piping systems (Schedule 10 and Schedule 40), the reducing tee forms a rigid joint that restricts axial and angular movement, making it well suited for fire protection and general service applications.
Key Features
- Reducing tee design allows branch connection with smaller outlet size
- Rigid grooved joint restricts axial and angular movement
- Maximum working pressure up to 300 psi (20 bar)
- Compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe
- Available in a wide range of reducing size combinations (2" through 12" mains)
- Ductile iron construction per ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12
- Standard orange enamel coating
- Optional hot dipped galvanized finish available
- UL, ULC, and FM listed/approved
Typical Applications
Commonly used in fire protection systems and general piping installations where a branch line of smaller diameter is required. Ideal for sprinkler systems, distribution piping, and system layouts requiring efficient size transitions.
Construction Details
Manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, ensuring durability and strength in demanding applications. The standard finish is orange enamel, with optional hot dipped galvanizing available for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Designed for use with roll or cut grooved carbon steel pipe, this fitting provides a rigid and reliable connection within grooved piping systems.
Important Notes
Working pressure ratings are based on standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe grooved in accordance with ARGCO specifications. For use with alternative materials or wall thicknesses, consult ARGCO. Always follow installation instructions and applicable codes.
