How a Four-Way Solenoid Valve Works
A four-way solenoid valve controls the direction of compressed air supplied to a pneumatic actuator. An electrical signal energizes or de-energizes the solenoid coil, causing the internal air path to change and directing air to the appropriate side of the actuator.
This allows an automated valve to move between operating positions without requiring manual valve operation. Four-way solenoids are commonly used with pneumatic quarter-turn actuators operating ball valves, butterfly valves, dampers, and similar process-control equipment.
24VDC Solenoid Valve Option
The ASV61-24VDC option is the complete Jomar ASV four-way solenoid valve configured for 24VDC electrical control. This configuration is well suited for industrial automation systems, PLC panels, machine-control circuits, and other applications using 24-volt DC control power.
Always confirm the required electrical voltage before ordering. A replacement 24VDC coil is a separate component and should not be confused with the complete ASV61-24VDC solenoid-valve assembly.
