The ARGCO 401 Style uses a two-piece design consisting of a cup around the sprinkler piping and a separate skirt that provides the visible finished trim at the ceiling.

This construction allows the two components to move relative to one another, providing adjustment between the sprinkler connection and finished ceiling surface.

The two-piece configuration can also simplify maintenance because compatible cups and skirts are available separately. If only the visible skirt or cup requires replacement, a complete new assembly may not be necessary.

ARGCO offers its aluminum 401 Style as part of its corrosion-resistant fire sprinkler escutcheon line. Aluminum provides resistance to rust and can be useful where conventional steel trim may be susceptible to corrosion.

The material can be useful for compatible indoor or outdoor sprinkler installations where moisture, humidity, or environmental exposure makes corrosion resistance desirable.

4525288, 4525288WH, and 4525288WH-3/4 are complete standard 401 Style escutcheon assemblies containing the cup and skirt.

4525288-SKIRT and 4525288WH-SKIRT are replacement skirts only. A cup is not included with these variations.

4525288WHCUP1/2 is the white aluminum 1/2" IPS replacement cup only. A skirt is not included.

When replacing only one part of an existing escutcheon, verify that the existing assembly is compatible with the selected 401 Style replacement component.

Verify the required sprinkler IPS size, escutcheon style, component type, and finish before installation.

For a complete assembly, position the cup and skirt according to the sprinkler installation and ceiling configuration. Adjust the two components so the skirt sits properly against the finished ceiling without interfering with the sprinkler.

When replacing only a skirt or cup, inspect the remaining escutcheon component before reuse. Replace components that are bent, damaged, excessively worn, corroded, or otherwise unable to maintain proper positioning.
