Description
Domestic Wrot Copper x Copper No-Stop Coupling
Domestic wrot copper x copper no-stop couplings join two equal-size copper tubes without an internal tube stop. The open-bore design allows the coupling to slide completely over properly sized copper tube, making it useful for repairs, alterations, and installations where the fitting must be positioned after the tube is aligned.
Select the required nominal copper tube size from the product options above. The selected variation determines the Cello item number, online selling price, weight, cost, and other size-specific product information.

How a No-Stop Coupling Works
Unlike a standard coupling, this fitting does not have an internal ridge that stops the tube at the center. The coupling can slide completely over one section of copper tube, allowing the second tube section to be positioned. The coupling is then moved back across the joint and soldered at both ends.
No-Stop Coupling vs. Standard Coupling
No-Stop Coupling
- No internal center stop
- Can slide completely over the tube
- Useful for in-line repairs
- Allows adjustment before soldering
Standard Coupling
- Includes an internal center stop
- Positions each tube at the fitting midpoint
- Commonly used for new installations
- Does not slide completely over the tube
Common Applications
Repair and Maintenance
- Replacing damaged copper tube sections

- Emergency copper pipe repairs
Plumbing and Mechanical Systems
- Potable-water piping
- Residential plumbing systems
- Commercial plumbing installations
- Mechanical-room piping
- Heating and cooling systems
- General copper distribution piping

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a no-stop copper coupling?
A no-stop coupling is a straight copper coupling without an internal center ridge. This allows the fitting to slide completely over properly sized copper tube.
Why would I use a no-stop coupling?
It is especially useful for repairing an existing copper piping run because it can slide out of the way while a replacement tube section is positioned.
Are both ends the same size?
Yes. This product has two equal-size copper sweat sockets.
How is it different from a reducing coupling?
A no-stop coupling connects two equal-size tubes and has no internal stop. A reducing coupling connects two different tube sizes.
How is the fitting installed?
The coupling is slid fully onto one tube, the second tube is positioned, and the coupling is moved back across the joint. Both sockets are then prepared and soldered using approved procedures.
Is this a domestic copper fitting?
Yes. This product is listed as a domestic wrot copper pressure fitting.
Who manufactures this coupling?
This product is manufactured by Cello Products.
Can it be used for potable-water systems?
It may be used in compatible potable-water systems when installed according to applicable codes, standards, manufacturer requirements, and approved joining procedures.
Does the coupling automatically center itself?
No. Because there is no internal stop, the installer must center and position the fitting correctly across the joint before soldering.
Important Ordering Notes
- Select the required nominal copper tube size before adding the product to your cart.
- The selected variation determines the Cello item number, price, weight, and cost.
- This fitting has no internal tube stop.
- Both copper sweat connections are the same size.
- Standard stopped couplings and reducing couplings are listed separately.
- Confirm the nominal copper tube size before ordering.
- Center the fitting correctly across the repaired joint before soldering.
- Use approved solder, flux, preparation methods, and installation procedures.
- Remove moisture, oxidation, dirt, oil, and debris before soldering.
- Confirm pressure, temperature, media compatibility, and applicable code requirements before installation.
