The B54BMP-VK600 seal kit is designed for use with compatible 6" Dixon B54BMP-series in-line sight glass assemblies.

The kit includes two FKM gaskets that provide sealing around the transparent viewing section of the sight glass.

These gaskets may be replaced during scheduled maintenance, during glass replacement, or whenever the existing seals show wear, deformation, chemical deterioration, or other conditions that could compromise sealing performance.

B54BMP-VK600 uses FKM elastomer gaskets. FKM is commonly selected for process applications requiring resistance to a broad range of chemicals, oils, fuels, and elevated temperatures.

Actual compatibility depends on the process media, concentration, operating temperature, cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and other system conditions.

Always confirm elastomer compatibility for the specific application before placing the sight glass assembly into service.

Before ordering B54BMP-VK600, confirm that the existing assembly is a compatible 6" Dixon B54BMP-series in-line sight glass and that FKM gasket material is appropriate for the application.

Dixon uses different seal kit part numbers for each sight glass size. B54BMP-VK600 is specifically identified for the 6" configuration.

If nitrile rubber is required instead, B54BMP-SK600 is the corresponding 6" nitrile rubber seal kit. The compatible borosilicate replacement glass is B54G-P600, while B54BMP-LX600 is the polycarbonate replacement insert.

Before servicing the sight glass, isolate the process line and confirm that it has been safely depressurized, drained, and brought to a safe temperature according to applicable facility procedures.

Remove the existing sealing components and inspect the sight glass body, viewing insert, sealing surfaces, and mating components for contamination, scratches, deformation, or other damage.

Install the new FKM gaskets in their correct positions without twisting, stretching, cutting, or damaging the sealing surfaces.

Ensure the glass or polycarbonate viewing insert is properly centered and supported during reassembly. Avoid uneven loading that could damage the viewing section or compromise the seal.

After reassembly, inspect the installation and verify leak-free operation under appropriate process conditions before returning the system to normal service.
