The B54BMP-LX400 is the polycarbonate viewing insert used with compatible 4" Dixon B54BMP-series in-line sight glass assemblies.

It is intended as a replacement component when an existing polycarbonate viewing section requires replacement because of damage, wear, maintenance, or scheduled servicing.

This part is the transparent replacement insert only and should not be confused with the complete in-line sight glass assembly.

B54BMP-LX400 is manufactured from polycarbonate, providing a clear viewing section for compatible sanitary process systems.

The transparent insert allows operators to visually observe product flow, color, clarity, and other process conditions while the sight glass remains installed in the process line.

Material suitability should always be confirmed for the actual process media, operating temperature, pressure, cleaning chemistry, sanitation procedures, and surrounding environment.

Before ordering B54BMP-LX400, confirm that the existing assembly is a compatible 4" Dixon B54BMP-series in-line sight glass and that a polycarbonate viewing insert is required.

Dixon uses different replacement insert part numbers for different sight glass sizes. B54BMP-LX400 is specifically identified for the compatible 4" polycarbonate configuration.

If borosilicate glass is required instead, B54G-P400 is the corresponding 4" replacement. Also inspect the elastomer seals during service and select the appropriate replacement kit for the process conditions.

Before servicing the sight glass, isolate the process line and confirm that it has been safely depressurized, drained, and brought to a safe temperature according to applicable facility procedures.

Inspect the replacement polycarbonate insert before installation. Do not install an insert with cracks, deep scratches, impact damage, deformation, chemical attack, or other defects that could affect safe operation.

Inspect mating components and seals during disassembly and replace worn or damaged components as required. Use gasket materials compatible with the process media, temperature, cleaning chemicals, and operating conditions.

During reassembly, ensure the viewing insert and sealing components are properly positioned and avoid uneven mechanical loading on the transparent section.

After reassembly, inspect the installation and verify leak-free operation under appropriate process conditions before returning the system to normal service.
