The offset flange configuration is intended for installations where the existing drain centerline and required water-closet position are not directly aligned. The shaped PVC body redirects the fixture connection so the closet can be positioned differently from the drain opening below.

This configuration can be useful during replacement, remodeling, or other installations where relocating the underlying drain piping is difficult. The actual drain position should be measured before selecting an offset flange so the fitting can be oriented toward the required fixture location.

The adjustable metal ring provides additional flexibility when establishing the final water-closet mounting orientation. The ring can be positioned around the PVC flange body so the fixture mounting locations can be aligned after the offset direction has been established.

This allows the drain correction and fixture mounting orientation to be addressed separately during layout. The PVC body can first be positioned for the required offset, followed by adjustment of the metal ring to suit the final water-closet mounting position.

The 4" x 3" configuration should be matched to the compatible PVC DWV piping used at the closet-drain location. Confirming both nominal sizes before installation helps ensure the flange corresponds with the existing or planned drainage arrangement.

The surrounding pipe size should be checked directly rather than selecting the flange from fixture dimensions alone. Proper sizing is especially important during retrofit work where existing drain piping may differ from the configuration expected at the finished-floor opening.

The flange position should be coordinated with the finished floor, drain centerline, and water-closet location. Because the body is offset, its directional orientation affects where the fixture connection will ultimately sit relative to the underlying drain piping.

Review nearby framing, flooring, and piping before permanent assembly so the offset body has adequate room in the required direction. Once the body is positioned, the adjustable metal ring can be aligned for the final fixture mounting arrangement.
