3" Aluminum Grooved Bolted Clamp

Dixon's 3" grooved bolted clamp is designed to mechanically join compatible grooved pipe or tubing sections. The clamp locks into the circumferential grooves rather than depending on high clamping force against the pipe wall.

This design helps prevent distortion of the tubing diameter while providing a removable connection. Confirm the groove profile and nominal size of both mating components before installation.

The clamp body is manufactured from aluminum with precision-cast and machined dimensions. Dixon designs the clamp body to take the bolt force while the clamp ridges engage the pipe grooves.

Inspect both clamp halves, bolts, lock nuts, and grooved pipe ends before assembly. Damaged or distorted components should be replaced before the connection is placed into service.

The 3" aluminum clamp family is available with FKM-B, nitrile rubber, or Baylast™ gasket materials. Dixon identifies DBV-VB300, DBV-BN300, and DBV-BL300 for these three configurations.

Select the gasket material according to the intended media and service requirements. Verify the exact clamp part number before ordering rather than assuming all 3" configurations use the same seal.

Dixon publishes a 170 PSI pressure rating for the 3" aluminum grooved bolted clamp and specifies 20 ft. lbs. of bolt torque. Lock nuts are incorporated to help resist loosening in vibration-prone applications.

Install the supplied gasket before use and tighten the clamp evenly. Verify gasket position, groove engagement, and bolt tightness before placing the connection into service.
