Another Copper Tube Increase Tomorrow!
With copper up more than $0.13/lb. and reaching a high of $5.02/lb. today (the highest point in five years), Copper Tube Mills announced an approximate 5-8% increase and a new list price sheet. We will hold current price levels through the close of business today, 5/14, and move to the new, higher list price sheet tomorrow.
According to the Wall Street Journal, demand for copper is expected to rise as certain mines close or scale back production. Copper futures are up 20% this year.
