Dielectric Nipples

Dielectric nipples are threaded pipe fittings designed to prevent galvanic corrosion when connecting dissimilar metals in plumbing systems. These fittings feature a steel exterior with an internal insulating liner that separates metals such as copper and galvanized steel, helping prevent electrolysis and corrosion inside piping systems.

Dielectric pipe nipples are commonly used in water heater installations, plumbing systems, and hydronic piping applications where copper supply lines connect to steel tanks or piping. By isolating the metals and interrupting electrical conductivity, dielectric nipples help extend the life of piping systems and reduce the risk of corrosion-related leaks.
