Black Steel Full Pipe Couplings
Merchant steel full couplings are robust, ungalvanized carbon steel pipe fittings designed for joining two threaded Schedule 40 steel pipes in low-pressure applications, such as water, oil, or gas systems. Fully threaded on both ends, they conform to ASTM A865 and ASME B1.20.1 standards, ensuring reliable performance. Available in sizes from 1/8" to 6", these couplings feature NPSC (straight) threads for smaller sizes (1/8" to 2") and NPT (tapered) threads for larger sizes (2-1/2" and up). Often sandblasted or oiled for corrosion resistance, they are ideal for industrial, construction, or drainage systems but not suited for watertight plumbing unless taper-tapped.
