Description
Merchant Steel Black Half Pipe Couplings
Merchant Steel Black Half Pipe Couplings are durable threaded weld fittings designed for creating secure threaded outlets on tanks, vessels, pipe systems, and fabricated steel components. Manufactured from ungalvanized carbon steel, these fittings are commonly sandblasted or lightly oiled to provide added protection against surface corrosion during storage and handling.
Each half coupling features female threaded connections on one side and a smooth, square-cut welding surface on the opposite side for easy attachment to flat or curved metal surfaces. Designed for use with Schedule 40 steel pipe, these fittings provide a dependable threaded connection point in low-pressure industrial and commercial applications.
Merchant steel black half couplings conform to ASTM A865 and ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards and are commonly used in water transfer, drainage, compressed air, fuel, and general fabrication systems. Metric DIN configurations are also available for international and OEM applications.
