Chrome Plated Brass Nipples
Schedule 40 pipe nipples have thicker walls than Schedule 10, but not as thick as Schedule 80. Pipe's exterior includes threading on both connection ends. These connections use PTFE tape to secure seal. Low-pressure (100-299 psi) pipe nipples connect with fittings. A chrome-plated finish is applied to brass where yellow brass cannot be used.
