Pro-Flex Pro-Poly Underground Transition Fitting
Pro-Flex Pro-Poly PETR-Series Underground Transition Fittings are designed for Natural Gas and LP (Propane) underground applications using polyethylene (MDPE) gas piping. The transition fitting provides a connection from steel underground piping to MDPE underground piping.
The PETR-Series meets or exceeds ASTM D2513 Category 1 and ASTM F1973 specifications. Available configurations include CTS and IPS MDPE pipe sizes with steel MPT transition connections.

The PETR-Series is designed specifically to transition from steel underground piping to polyethylene (MDPE) underground piping. This provides a transition point between the steel and polyethylene portions of an underground gas piping system.

CTS, IPS & SDR Selection
The PETR-Series includes both CTS and IPS polyethylene pipe configurations. Confirm the complete MDPE pipe designation before ordering, including nominal size, CTS or IPS dimensional system, and SDR where applicable.
The 1-1/4" IPS transition is available in both SDR 11 and SDR 10 configurations. These are separate fittings and should be matched to the appropriate polyethylene pipe.
Installation
Product installation and system testing shall be completed by a qualified installer in accordance with NFPA 54/ANSI Z223.1 (National Fuel Gas Code), National Gas & Propane Installation Code B149.1 (Canada), applicable state and local codes, and the current Pro-Flex Installation/Training Guide.
