Choose the Correct Fit
Check the access path to the part before choosing a nose shape. Leave enough room to open the jaws and withdraw the tool.
Match the hose-grip jaw to the hose connection. Use controlled pressure and stop if the hose begins to deform.
Installation & Care
Keep the handles clear of other parts while closing the jaws. Support loose components so they cannot fall into the assembly.
Wipe grit and moisture from the jaws and pivot after use. Inspect the tips and grips before working in a confined space.

Important Product Questions
Does 13 inches describe the usable reach?
It is the nominal tool length. Actual reach depends on jaw position, handle clearance and the route into the assembly; check those dimensions on your job.
Can it clamp a hose shut?
This is a hose-gripping tool. Do not assume it is a hose pinch-off clamp; use a hose-compatible shutoff method where flow isolation is needed.
Can I use the long nose as a pry bar?
Use it to grip and position parts. Prying or side-loading the tips can damage them or release the part; choose a tool intended for the applied load.
