Product Overview

Inspect the 8-inch diagonal plier’s 1,000 V handle insulation, including near the guards.

The voltage rating does not replace isolation, training or the job’s electrical-safety procedure.

Choose the Correct Fit

Use the exact tool type and rating required by the electrical work procedure. De-energize and verify absence of voltage wherever possible.

Inspect insulation, handles, guards and cutting surfaces before use. Remove a tool from service if the insulation is cut, cracked or otherwise damaged.

Installation & Care

Use the prescribed personal protection and safe working methods. A rated tool alone does not make an energized task safe.

Clean and store the tool according to its instructions so sharp objects, heat or chemicals do not damage the insulation.

Important Product Questions

Does 1000V insulation authorize live work?

No. Live work requires the applicable qualified-person procedures and protective measures. Prefer isolation and verification; the tool rating is only one part of the safety system.

Can damaged insulation be repaired with tape?

Do not treat tape as restoration of the tool’s certification. Remove damaged tools from service and follow the manufacturer’s inspection and replacement guidance.

Does the nominal length state the cutting capacity?

No. Match material, diameter and hardness to the exact model’s cutting limits. The tool’s overall size and voltage rating do not establish cutting capacity.
