Match the model on your saw to the compatibility list before ordering. “Compact” alone does not establish fit.

Milwaukee lists cover 49-90-2629 for saws 6242-6 and 2629-20; those models use a different cover.

Installation & Care

Remove the battery before fitting covers. Seat every snap, then pull gently to check that each cover is secure.

Clean with mild soap and a damp cloth. Keep covers dry and free of grease; replace broken covers.

Will these fit my older 2629-20 compact band saw?

No. Milwaukee’s instructions specify 49-90-2629 for that saw. This 49-90-2829 cover fits 2829-20 and 2829S-20.

Can I hold the covers as an extra gripping surface?

No. Use only the saw’s insulated gripping surfaces. Milwaukee specifically prohibits using accessory covers as handles.

How do I check that the covers are securely attached?

With the battery removed, check that all snaps are fully seated and pull on the covers to verify attachment. Never modify covers to force a fit.
