Description

Galvanized Grooved Short Radius Tee

ARGCO Model 302 grooved short radius tee is designed to join carbon steel pipe in branch configurations while providing a rigid connection that restricts axial and angular movement. This fitting ensures structural stability in piping systems where movement is not desired.

Available in sizes from 2" through 8", the short radius tee is compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe and is rated for working pressures up to 300 psi (20 bar).

Key Features

  • Short radius grooved tee for branch pipe connections
  • Rigid joint design prevents axial and angular movement
  • Compatible with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe
  • Available in sizes 2" through 8"
  • Maximum working pressure up to 300 psi / 20 bar
  • Ductile iron construction per ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12
  • Standard hot dipped galvanized coating
  • UL, ULC, and FM listed/approved

Typical Applications

Primarily used in fire protection systems, the grooved short radius tee is also suitable for general service piping applications requiring a rigid branch connection. Ideal for systems where movement must be minimized to maintain alignment and integrity.

Construction Details

Manufactured from ductile iron conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12 for high strength and durability.

Standard coating is hot dipped galvanized for corrosion resistance

Designed for use with grooved-end carbon steel piping systems in accordance with ARGCO specifications.

Important Notes

Working pressure ratings are based on standard weight (ANSI) steel pipe with roll or cut grooved ends in accordance with ARGCO specifications.

This fitting provides a rigid joint and does not allow for system movement; proper system design should account for thermal expansion and stress loads.
