Description
CarbonPress® Carbon Steel Press Equal Tee
CarbonPress® Carbon Steel Press Equal Tees provide a three-way branch connection with the same nominal pipe size through the run and branch. The equal tee configuration allows a carbon steel press piping system to continue through the main line while creating a 90° branch of equal size.
CarbonPress® is a 1/2" through 2" carbon steel press fitting system suitable for use with black iron, epoxy-coated, and galvanized Schedule 10 through Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe. When pressed, an internal grab ring grips the outside diameter of the pipe while an elastomeric sealing element creates a leak-tight seal.
CarbonPress® fittings can be installed using Milwaukee or RIDGID press tools with the associated jaws or rings designed for carbon steel applications.

CarbonPress® Connection Technology
When the fitting is pressed, a grab ring deforms and its sharp edges grip the outside diameter of the pipe, securing the fitting axially and helping prevent movement.
At the same time, an elastomeric sealing element impinges on the pipe to create a leak-tight connection.
Equal Tee Design
The equal tee provides three same-size press connection points. The main run continues straight through the fitting while the third connection creates a 90° branch of the same nominal pipe size.
Leak Before Press Technology
CarbonPress® fittings incorporate Leak Before Press (LBP) Technology, helping identify connections that have not been properly pressed during system testing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a CarbonPress® equal tee used for?
It is used to create a 90° branch of the same nominal pipe size from a CarbonPress® carbon steel piping run.
How is an equal tee different from a reducing tee?
An equal tee uses the same nominal pipe size for the run and branch. A reducing tee has a branch connection that is smaller than the main run.
What type of connections does the tee have?
The fitting has press connections on all three ends.
What pipe can CarbonPress® fittings be used with?
CarbonPress® is suitable for black iron, epoxy-coated, and galvanized Schedule 10 through Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe.
What sizes does the CarbonPress® system cover?
The CarbonPress® system covers sizes from 1/2" through 2".
What is the EPDM temperature range?
The EPDM temperature range is -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 148°C).
What is the HNBR temperature range?
The HNBR temperature range is -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C).
Do CarbonPress® fittings have Leak Before Press technology?
Yes. CarbonPress® fittings incorporate Leak Before Press (LBP) Technology.
What press tools can be used with CarbonPress®?
